After Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh has also joined the star cast of Sunny Deol's 'Border 2'.
The star cast of 'Border 2' keeps getting better and bigger. In the latest entertainment news, after Varun Dhawan, Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh, who was last seen in 'Jatt and Juliet 3', has also joined the cast. The official announcement was made by Sunny Deol on Instagram, and with this, the JP Dutta-directorial has gotten much bigger, and we can't wait for the film to release in cinemas. "Welcoming Fauji @diljitdosanjh to the Battalion of #Border2," Sunny Deol wrote on Instagram.

For the unversed, 'Border 2' is a sequel to JP Dutta's 1997 blockbuster 'Border', which was also headlined by Sunny Deol.
Gulshan Kumar and T-Series and Dutta’s JP Films are presenting 'Border 2'. Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, JP Dutta and Nidhi Dutta, 'Border 2' is slated to release in cinemas on January 23, 2026.
The upcoming Hindi film will be directed by Anurag Singh, who had previously helmed Akshay Kumar's 'Kesari', which was based on the Battle of Saragarhi in which an army of 21 Sikhs fought against 10,000 Afghans in 1897.
Diljit Dosanjh was last seen in the Punjabi film ‘Jatt & Juliet 3’, alongside Neeru Bajwa. Speaking about ‘Jatt & Juliet 3’ with Hindustan Times, Diljit Dosanjh said, “I am determined to do one Punjabi film, and an album every year. That's something substantial for me. I will continue to do everything else, but would never disconnect from Punjab.”
Talking about how he manifested making an appearance on ‘The Tonight Show’, the actor said, “We are living in a dream. There is nothing outside its realm. And that’s something, which should drive everyone to dream and aspire big.”
Diljit Dosanjh was also seen in Hindi films 'Crew' and 'Amar Singh Chamkila' in 2024. The latter was directed by Imtiaz Ali, and Diljit gained immense appreciation for his performance.
