Ahan Shetty has joined the cast of 'Border 2', which also stars Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan and Diljit Dosanjh.

'Border 2', is one of the most-awaited Bollywood movies, and fans cannot wait for the sequel to 'Border' to release in cinemas in 2026. In the latest entertainment news, Sunny Deol on Thursday afternoon confirmed that Suniel Shetty's son Ahan Shetty has been cast in the upcoming Hindi film. Sunny Deol made the announcement on Instagram. "Welcoming Fauji @ahan.shetty to the Battalion of #Border2," wrote Sunny Deol on Instagram.

"It’s an honour to stand by your side @iamsunnydeol sir," commented Ahan Shetty.

On the other hand, Ahan's father Suniel Shetty said, "PHANTOM."

For the unversed, Suniel Shetty had played a key role in the original 'Border'.

Earlier, Sunny Deol had also confirmed the casting of Varun Dhawan and Diljit Dosanjh in 'Border 2'. Speaking about his casting in the film, Varun Dhawan had said, "JP Dutta sir’s war epic remains one of my most favourite movies to this day. To play a part in Border 2 produced by J P sir and Bhushan Kumar is a very, very special moment in my career. And I get to work with Sunny Paaji my hero makes it all the more special. I look forward to bring a valiant jawaan’s story to the screen in what promises to be India’s biggest war film. I seek your good wishes. Jai Hind."

For the unversed, 'Border 2' is a sequel to JP Dutta's 1997 blockbuster 'Border', which was also headlined by Sunny Deol. 

Gulshan Kumar and T-Series and Dutta’s JP Films are presenting 'Border 2'. Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, JP Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta, 'Border 2' is slated to release in cinemas on January 23, 2026.

The upcoming Hindi film will be directed by Anurag Singh, who had previously helmed Akshay Kumar's 'Kesari', which was based on the Battle of Saragarhi in which an army of 21 Sikhs fought against 10,000 Afghans in 1897.
