Plot Summary

Early Life: Zubeidaa is the high-spirited daughter of a filmmaker who secretly pursues an acting career until her father forces her into an ill-fated arranged marriage.
Royal Romance: After her divorce, she meets and falls in love with Maharaja Vijayendra Singh (Manoj Bajpayee) of Fatehpur.
Life as a Queen: She becomes his second wife, but struggles with the rigid royal protocols and the presence of his first wife, Mandira Devi (Rekha).
Tragedy: The film concludes with the mysterious death of Zubeidaa and the Maharaja in a plane crash.
