Synopsis
Inspector Vijay (Jeetendra) is a dedicated cop living in Bombay. He falls in love with Uma (Sridevi), but their marriage faces initial opposition from her father due to caste differences. Eventually, the couple marries and has a daughter, Pinky.
The conflict begins when Vijay is tasked with capturing a dangerous gang of bandits led by Badley (Kader Khan) and Johny (Shakti Kapoor). After the gang carries out a brutal robbery on a wedding party, Vijay arrests Ranga, a key informant for the bandits. However, a corrupt lawyer, Advocate Ghaswala (Asrani), uses fake alibis to get Ranga acquitted. Outraged, Vijay confronts Ranga, leading to an accidental death that results in Vijay's suspension from the police force.
Seeking revenge, the bandits plant a bomb in Vijay's home, forcing the family to flee to his father’s (retired Major Prem Kishan, played by Shammi Kapoor) farmhouse. The bandits track them down, assault the Major, and abduct Uma and Pinky. In the final rescue mission, Uma is tragically killed, leading to an explosive finale where Vijay eliminates the entire gang before surrendering to the law.
