SYNOPSIS

Aakhree Raasta (transl. Last Option) is a highly successful 1986 Indian Hindi-language vigilante action-drama film starring Amitabh Bachchan in a dual role. Plot Summary
The story follows David D'Costa (Amitabh Bachchan), an innocent man falsely accused of his wife Mary's (Jaya Prada) murder by a corrupt politician, a doctor, and a policeman. He is wrongfully imprisoned for 24 years. Before going to jail, he leaves his infant son, Vijay, with his best friend Mahesh (Anupam Kher), requesting that Mahesh raise him to be a criminal to help execute his ultimate vengeance. 

Decades later, David is released and immediately plots the assassination of the three men who framed him. However, he discovers that Mahesh raised Vijay to be an honest, rule-abiding police officer instead. The movie culminates in an intense ideological and physical battle between a vengeful father and his duty-bound cop son (also played by Bachchan), who has sworn to protect the very men David targets.
