Hatya is a 1988 Indian Hindi-language drama thriller film directed and produced by Kirti Kumar. Released on 3 June 1988, the film stars an ensemble cast of Govinda, Neelam, Sujitha, Anupam Kher, Babu Antony, Om Shivpuri, Raj Kiran, Johnny Lever and Satyen Kappu.
Plot:
The story revolves around a man named Sagar (Govinda), who is a kind-hearted but disillusioned person. After the tragic deaths of his wife and child, he has lost his way and spends his time drinking. One night, he finds a homeless, deaf and mute boy in a garbage can and decides to adopt him, naming him Raja (played by Sujitha).
Sagar's life changes completely as he bonds with the boy. However, their new life is thrown into chaos when a wealthy businessman claims Raja is his grandson. Soon, it's revealed that the boy witnessed the murder of his mother, and the killers are now after him to silence the only witness. Sagar must now protect Raja and unravel the mystery of the murder, all while trying to prove his own innocence.
