The release date of SonyLiv's 'Scam 2003: The Telgi Story' is out!

Streaming platform SonyLiv has finally announced the release date of 'Scam 2003: The Telgi Story'. The announcement came as the streaming platform completed three years. For the unversed, 'Scam 2003: The Telgi Story' is a follow-up to Hansal Mehta's 2020 hit 'Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story'. 'The Telgi Story' will now be releasing on September 2 on SonyLiv. Hansal Mehta will be serving as showrunner in the second installment while it will be directed by Tushar Hiranandani. 

'Scam 2003: The Telgi Story' will be telling the story of Abdul Karim Telgi, a counterfeiter who printed fake stamp paper.

The new Hindi web series has been adapted from the Hindi book 'Reporter ki Diary' which was authored by journalist Sanjay Singh.

It was earlier announced that the veteran theatre actor Gagan Dev Riar will be playing the lead role in the series.

'Scam 1992' had introduced the audiences to Pratik Gandhi, who earned great response from the audiences for his character and portrayal.

Recently, Hansal Mehta had directed the Netflix crime-drama series 'Scoop'. Before that, he had helmed the hostage thriller film 'Faraaz'.
