Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently met with the cast members of the hit TVF show 'Panchayat'.
'Dekh raha hai Binod?' This uber-popular line from the 'Panchayat' series has managed to attain a cult status, and several memes continue to flood the internet. However, no one could have predicted that even Prime Minister Narendra Modi would be a fan of this famous series. Recently, PM Modi met with the stars of the show at the Republic Summit on Tuesday. He was spotted shaking hands with actors Durgesh Kumar (known for playing Bhushan) and Ashok Pathak (known for playing Binod).
PM Modi shared a reel on Instagram, in which he interacted with the stars of ‘Panchayat’ as he made his way towards the show's star cast. He shook hands with the stars of 'Panchayat', with both Durgesh and Ashok smiling at the kind gesture. Ram Charan and his wife Upasana Konidela were also spotted at the event.
PM Modi chose the theme song of the hit show as the music for the Instagram Reel, which has remained a viral sensation ever since its release. "Binod se kuch baatein," PM Modi wrote on Instagram.

Ashok Pathak commented on the reel and wrote in Hindi, “Grateful for the love and blessings.”

Bhushan (often nicknamed "Banrakas") and Binod are the breakout characters from the hit Prime Video comedy-drama series ‘Panchayat’. Though they started as supporting antagonists in the village of Phulera, their comedic timing and distinct personalities made them fan favourites.
Speaking of 'Panchayat', all its seasons are streaming on Prime Video, and the show has become one of the most beloved and critically acclaimed Indian web series of recent times. Created by TVF (The Viral Fever), it captures the simplicity and challenges of living in rural India. The show is set in the fictional village of Phulera in Uttar Pradesh, and the plot follows Abhishek Tripathi, an engineering graduate who reluctantly takes up the job of a Panchayat secretary due to a lack of better employment opportunities.
The series manages to find humour and emotion in everyday life, while the interactions between Abhishek and village leaders, Pradhan Ji, Manju Devi, Vikas, Prahlad and Binod create a perfect blend of comedy and friendship. Jitendra Kumar shines as the confused yet sincere Abhishek, while veteran actors Raghubir Yadav, Neena Gupta, Faisal Malik, and Chandan Roy add authenticity and charm to the narrative.
