Actor-comedian Kapil Sharma has slammed IndiGo airline on X (formerly Twitter). Kapil Sharma fumed at the airline for making the passengers wait in the bus and not informing about the reason for the delay at the Chennai airport. The 'Zwigato' actor first alleged that the airline made the passengers wait in the bus for 50 minutes. He also said that the flight was supposed to take off at 8 PM, and even at 9:20 pm, the pilot hadn't reached because he was “stuck in traffic”.

"Dear @IndiGo6E first you made us wait in the bus for 50 minz, and now your team is saying pilot is stuck in traffic, what ? Really ? we supposed to take off by 8 pm n it’s 9:20, still there is no pilot in cockpit, do you think these 180 passengers will fly in indigo again ? Never, 6E5149 #shameless," Kapil Sharma wrote.

In another tweet, Kapil Sharma posted a video in which the passengers can be seen being deboarded. He said that the airline told the passengers that they would need to board another aircraft but again they have to go back to the terminal for security check.

"Now they r de boarding all the passengers n saying we will send you in another aircraft but again we have to go back to terminal for security check," he wrote.

In another video posted by Kapil Sharma, the passengers can be seen being involved in a heated argument with the airline staff.

“People r suffering bcoz of you @IndiGo6E lying lying n lying, there r some old passengers on wheel chairs, not in a very good health condition. Shame on you,” Kapil Sharma wrote.

IndiGo has also responded to Kapil Sharma's post, saying, "Thank you for taking the time to speak with our airport manager, Sir. We truly regret the delay which was due to operational reasons at Chennai airport. Your understanding is highly appreciated, and we are eager to serve to you better the next time."

Here are some of the fan comments:

"I always believed that IndiGo is the most punctual airlines because I always had a great experience. It’s shocking to come across a such news where passengers are suffering just because of the casual attitude of pilot and airline staff," wrote one user.

“I am a regular Indigo flyer and hardly faced any issues like this ever. If the pilot doesn’t come in time, what would the company do at the last moment? Hire another pilot from a shop? What if your sound engineer doesn’t come in time for the show? What would you do? You all will have to wait for him to come. And, I am sure, in the beginning of your career you have definitely faced such issues in events. So, the same goes here, the pilot should be blamed, not the company. In fact, if it’s about an unpredictablely very long traffic jam, then the traffic jam should be blamed, not anyone else,” another user commented.

“You are a superstar! People follow you by example. Therefore, show your best side in face of adversity! You are behaving like the new rich! Be mature man! You can not act everywhere like you do in comedy nights," one user wrote.
