French President Emmanuel Macron and First Lady Brigitte Macron recently met several Bollywood celebrities in Mumbai.
French President Emmanuel Macron and First Lady Brigitte Macron are currently in India on an official diplomatic visit, beginning their engagements in Mumbai on Tuesday. During their time in the city, the French leader and his wife held a special interaction with several prominent Bollywood personalities, highlighting the cultural ties between India and France. President Macron later shared glimpses from the meeting on Instagram, posting multiple photographs with members of the Indian film fraternity.
Captioning the post in French, he wrote, “Aux côtés de légendes du cinéma indien. La culture nous rassemble,” which translates to, “Alongside legends of Indian cinema. Culture unites us.”

Composer Ricky Kej revealed that his engagement with the French President began even before the celebrity interaction. Sharing pictures with the President and the First Lady, he wrote that he had travelled with them on their presidential aircraft as part of the French Delegation to participate in various meetings and the inauguration of the India-France Year of Innovation. He described it as an honour and hinted at significant upcoming developments between the two nations.
In a lighter note, Ricky also explained his eyewear choice, stating he wore glasses as a tribute to President Macron’s recent look at the World Economic Forum in Davos.

President Emmanuel Macron and First Lady Brigitte Macron arrived in Mumbai in the early hours of Tuesday for their visit, which is scheduled to continue until February 19. After concluding engagements in Mumbai, the delegation will proceed to Delhi to attend the India AI Impact Summit 2026. Upon their arrival in Mumbai, they also paid a solemn tribute to the victims of the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks.
