“Please Leave…”: Vijay Sethupathi's Candid Reply On Heroes Working With Younger Actresses
Here's what Vijay Sethupathi had to say about heroes working with younger actresses in films.

Vijay Sethupathi is currently gearing up for the release of his upcoming Tamil film 'MahaRaja'. In the latest entertainment news, during a promotional event for the film, the 'Merry Christmas' star was asked about heroes working with younger actresses. As per several reports, Vijay Sethupathi said that he has already addressed this topic several times in the past, and he concluded with "please leave it." “I have spoken about it already. I acted with Krithi Shetty in Uppenna in 2021, and later, a director told me let’s approach her for another film as a heroine. I said no because I had asked her to consider me as a dad during the climax sequence of Uppenna. So, I said no," Vijay Sethupathi said, as per Hindustan Times.
Vijay Sethupathi also said that the same decision on whether to star with the hero in a film lies with the female actor too.
“What if she had told me that she doesn’t want to act with me because ‘this man has asked me to consider him as dad’. She can say no also. I have answered this question earlier. Please leave it," said Vijay Sethupathi.
During the same interaction, Vijay also praised Pawan Kalyan, saying that he is not just a mass hero in films but also in person.
For the unversed, Pawan Kalyan's Jana Sena Party recently won all 21 assembly seats in Andhra Pradesh. It also won two Lok Sabha seats as it contested as part of an alliance with the Telugu Desam Party and Bharatiya Janata Party.
On the work front, Vijay Sethupathi will next be seen in his 50th film, titled 'MahaRaja'.
Directed by Nithilan Swaminathan, the Tamil film also features Anurag Kashyap. The film is set to be released in cinemas on June 14, 2024.
