Suriya Averts Clash With Rajinikanth, Kanguva's New Release Date Announced
Suriya's 'Kanguva' will not clash with Rajinikanth's 'Vettaiyan' as a new date has been announced for the new Tamil movie.
Tamil film industry was gearing up for a much-awaited clash between two legends -- Suriya and Rajinikanth. Suriya's 'Kanguva' and Rajinikanth's 'Vettaiyan' was all set to clash at the box office on October 10, 2024. However, in the latest entertainment news, Suriya has now avoided the clash with Rajinikanth as the makers have now announced the new release date of 'Kanguva', which also stars Bobby Deol and Disha Patani. The new Tamil film, which was earlier slated to release in cinemas on October 10, 2024, will now be hitting the theatres on November 14, 2024.
"The Battle of Pride and Glory, for the World to Witness. #Kanguva's mighty reign storms screens from 14-11-24, #KanguvaFromNov14," production house Studio Green wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
The makers have also shared a new motion poster. It is set to the sound of a tiger's roar and the rousing beats of a background score.
The poster also features Suriya's 'Kanguva' as a fierce warrior, facing off against Bobby Deol's ‘Udhiran’.

For the uninitiated, the events in 'Kanguva' happen across two timelines -- a period setting and the present.
As per several reports, 'Kanguva' has been made on a budget of more than Rs 350 crore, and it is expected to be Tamil cinema's big pan-Indian project.
Coming back to 'Kanguva', the film stars Suriya in a double role and Bobby Deol is playing the role of the main antagonist named ‘Udhiran’.
The trailer for Kanguva was unveiled earlier this year and it showcased high-octane action sequences, including battle scenes.
The film will mark the Tamil debut of Disha Patani. The epic action-thriller also stars Natarajan Subramaniam, Jagapathi Babu, Yogi Babu, Redin Kingsley, Kovai Sarala, Anandaraj, Ravi Raghavendra, KS Ravikumar, and BS Avinash in pivotal characters.
'Kanguva' will be having a worldwide theatrical release in 3D and IMAX formats.
