Addressing the media, Vijay reflected on how the press had been part of his journey since the beginning of his career. When I was at the beginning of my career, all these interviews mattered.” He further acknowledged the support he had received from the Telugu media throughout his rise in the film industry.
Speaking about the bond he shares with the media, Vijay added, “This relationship, of an actor chasing his dreams, you were part of that journey. Today, when I am married, you are still here and we are all growing. Telugu states has now a new daughter-in-law. Please take care of her.”

His heartfelt statement prompted Rashmika Mandanna, who was standing beside him, to blush and glance at him with a smile.
Rashmika also addressed the gathering and requested blessings as they embark on this new phase of life. “This is the first time we are taking such a big step, so we seek all of your blessings for us to start a new life,” she said.
For the daytime interaction, the couple coordinated in soft pastel traditional outfits that perfectly suited the celebratory setting. Rashmika wore a peach-pink saree adorned with sequins and tassels from Suta Bombay. She paired the saree with a contrasting yellow blouse, creating a warm and elegant colour palette. The actress styled her look with delicate gold jewellery. Minimal makeup and a sleek bun completed her understated look.
Vijay Deverakonda complemented her appearance in a lemon-yellow kurta featuring intricate white embroidery across the front. His hair was neatly slicked back and his signature moustache added a sharp, polished finish to the look.
Earlier, the couple had also spent time with fans during a meet-and-greet lunch. A video from the event quickly went viral online, showing Rashmika feeding Vijay with her hand while fans cheered around them. During that appearance, Rashmika proudly wore her mangalsutra and sindoor with a simple saree, while Vijay chose a floral kurta.
Rashmika and Vijay first met while working together on the 2018 romantic comedy ‘Geetha Govindam’, and their on-screen chemistry quickly won audiences over. They later reunited for the 2019 drama ‘Dear Comrade’. Although rumours about their relationship circulated for years, the two stars chose to keep their personal lives private and rarely appeared together publicly.
The couple got engaged in October last year but only confirmed their relationship publicly in February 2026 when they announced their marriage. They tied the knot on February 26 in an intimate yet grand ceremony at ITC Mementos in Udaipur, attended by close family and friends.
Their wedding photos created a massive buzz online, becoming the most-liked post from an Indian account with over 27.3 million likes. For the ceremony, both Rashmika and Vijay wore designer ensembles by Anamika Khanna.
Following the wedding celebrations, the couple recently hosted a grand reception for their industry friends on March 4 in Hyderabad.
