Riding high on the success of her 2023 release ‘Animal’, she has been working on her next film ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’. The upcoming movie, co-starring Allu Arjun in the lead role, is one of the most awaited Indian films of 2024.

For the unversed, this is the first time that Rashmika Mandanna's look as Srivalli has emerged from ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’.

In ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’, Rashmika Mandanna will portray Srivalli, who ended up marrying Pushpa Raj (Allu Arjun) and the story will focus on their life after marriage.
Earlier this year, Rashmika Mandanna had shared that ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ will be “bigger” than its first part.
Speaking to Pinkvilla, Rashmika said, “I can promise you that Pushpa 2 is going to be so much bigger. We gave some madness in the first film, in part 2, we know we have a responsibility because people have so much expectation from the film. We are constantly and consciously trying to deliver that.”
“I just shot for a song for Pushpa 2 and I was just like, ‘How are you guys thinking about this?’ Everyone is so driven to make a good film. All of us have gone all out and are enjoying the process. It’s a story that has no end, you can lead it any which way. It is fun,” she added.
‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ is slated to release in cinemas on August 15, 2024, and the new Telugu movie will be clashing against Rohit Shetty’s ‘Singham Again’, starring Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Tiger Shroff and Kareena Kapoor Khan.
Talking about ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’, the new Telugu movie will feature Fahadh Faasil, Sunil, Prakash Raj, Jagapathi Babu, and many more. The film, written and directed by Sukumar, will have Devi Sri Prasad composing the music like the first part.
‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ is the sequel to the 2021 film ‘Pushpa: The Rise’, which was a blockbuster at the box office and even got Allu Arjun a National Award.
The first installment of the Telugu movie depicted the rise of a low-wage labourer Pushpa Raj in the smuggling syndicate of red sandalwood.
