Megastar Rajinikanth could not be any happier on sharing the screen with Amitabh Bachchan in his upcoming project 'Thalaivar 170'. The film went on floors a few weeks ago in Kerala. In the latest entertainment news, Amitabh Bachchan has finally joined Rajinikanth for the shoot of the film. Taking to X, Rajinikanth shared a picture with Big B.
"After 33 years, I am working again with my mentor, the phenomenon, Shri Amitabh Bachchan in the upcoming Lyca’s "Thalaivar 170" directed by T.J Gnanavel. My heart is thumping with joy," Rajinikanth wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

For the unversed, Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan have previously acted together in movies like 'Hum', 'Andhaa Kaanoon' and 'Geraftaar'.
'Hum' which released in 1991, was Amitabh Bachchan and Rajinikanth's last collaboration.
Earlier, it was confirmed that Rana Daggubati and Fahadh Faasil will also be acting in 'Thalaivar 170'. The cast of the film also includes Ritika Singh, Manju Warrier and Dushara Vijayan.
'Jawan' and 'Jailer' composer Anirudh Ravichander will be providing music for the film.
Talking of Rajinikanth, the actor is currently celebrating the success of 'Jailer', which has made more than Rs 500 crore worldwide.
Kalanithi Maran, the owner of Sun Pictures, had recently gifted luxury cars to superstar Rajinikanth, director Nelson Dilipkumar and music composer Anirudh Ravichander for making 'Jailer' a blockbuster. Recently, a success meet was also held and gold coins were gifted to all the crew members who were associated with 'Jailer'.
Speaking of Amitabh Bachchan, he will next be seen in 'Kalki 2898 AD' alongside Prabhas, Disha Patani, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, SS Rajamouli and Dulquer Salmaan.
