Prabhas’ ‘The Raja Saab’ Postponed, Film To Clash With Vishal Bhardwaj And Shahid Kapoor's Next
After days of intense speculation, it has finally been confirmed that Prabhas’ upcoming horror-comedy ‘The Raja Saab’ has been postponed.

Prabhas continues to reign as one of India’s biggest superstars, and fans have been eagerly awaiting his next big-screen appearance after ‘Kalki 2898 AD’. After several rumours, it’s now official – his upcoming horror-comedy ‘The Raja Saab’ has been postponed. The announcement was made on Tuesday by the makers, who also revealed the film’s new release date. Directed by Maruthi, known for films like ‘Bhale Bhale Magadivoy’, ‘Mahanubhavudu’, and ‘Manchi Rojulochaie’, ‘The Raja Saab’ is now slated to hit theatres worldwide on December 5, setting the stage for a major end-of-year release.
'The Raja Saab' also stars Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, and Ridhi Kumar in pivotal roles.
Filmmaker Maruthi shared the news on his X (formerly Twitter) account. He also confirmed that the teaser for the project will be unveiled on Monday, June 16 at 10:52 AM.
“A day that promises a festival on the big screens just like we all dreamt of seeing our dearest darling #Prabhas. A lot more exciting days ahead… #TheRajaSaab,” he wrote.

Prabhas also shared the same poster on his Instagram account, writing, “#TheRajaSaab Teaser on June 16th. See you in theatres on Dec 5th.”
‘The Raja Saab’ will clash with Vishal Bhardwaj's yet untitled film, starring Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri in the lead roles.
Prabhas enjoys a massive fan following in the Hindi-speaking states as well and it is expected that ‘The Raja Saab’ will register a good opening and give a strong competition to the Shahid Kapoor-starrer.
‘The Raja Saab’ has been produced by People's Media Factory. The project is being described as a “spellbinding romantic horror entertainer.”
The music has been composed by Thaman S, and it has cinematography by Karthik Palan. The film will release in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam languages.
Meanwhile, Prabhas was last seen alongside Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan and Disha Patani in ‘Kalki 2898 AD’. The movie grossed over Rs 646 crore in India and Rs 1042 worldwide, as per industry tracker Sacnilk.
