Maldives Diaries: Malavika Mohanan’s Ultra-Luxe Holiday Is Ultimate Travel Therapy. See Pics
Malavika Mohanan shared a stunning Maldives photo dump featuring snorkelling adventures, marine life, luxury island moments and a glimpse of her favourite holiday read.
Indian actress Malavika Mohanan has given fans a generous window into her island getaway, dropping a sprawling photo dump on Instagram from Six Senses Kanuhura in the Maldives. The carousel, which she captioned "A peek into my photo gallery from my island life," racked up over 281.7K likes and 964 comments, with Arjun Kapoor among those who tapped the heart. Malavika, who most recently appeared opposite Prabhas in the 2026 movie ‘The Raja Saab’, leaned fully into holiday mode across the frames.
The set opened with Malavika Mohanan strolling barefoot along a stretch of powdery white sand, snorkelling fins in hand, the turquoise lagoon behind her. “Sea doing its thing to the hair,” she wrote, describing walking out to the beach outside her room one morning. A dewy, wind-swept selfie in a pink-and-yellow striped top followed, all sun-kissed skin and beachy waves.

Much of the dump was devoted to marine life. Malavika Mohanan shared images of a shark gliding through the shallows, admitting the initial spot left her "terrified" before "the fear quickly gave way to awe and curiosity." She reassured anxious viewers that these sharks were harmless and feed only on marine vegetation. There was also an underwater frame of her snorkelling above a green sea turtle resting on the seabed. Per her caption, the adult green turtle feeding on seagrass is named Sunny, and the shots were captured by @athif.mv, whom she credits as a sea turtle biologist.
Elsewhere, the carousel turned to the resort's quieter luxuries. A striking night shot showed her walking down a lantern-lit jetty in a rose-hued gown, rows of illuminated overwater villas glowing in the distance under a stormy sky. There was a golden sunset over the shoreline, an intimate outdoor cinema set-up with plush bean bags under the palms, and a lamp-lit thatched pavilion beneath a moonlit sky.
Food, unsurprisingly, got its moment. A lavish spread featured a leafy pizza alongside Indian fare – curry, rice, papad, fries and a fresh salad – with Malavika Mohanan declaring Maldivian fish curry and coconut rice her “new favourite food”.
A recurring motif was her holiday read: Arundhati Roy's memoir ‘Mother Mary Comes To Me’, the acclaimed 2025 account of the writer's relationship with her mother, Mary Roy. Malavika Mohanan photographed the red-and-white cover more than once, calling Arundhati Roy "an author in whose hands I could be wrapped around all day every day." Rounding things off were candid touches – snorkel gear drying on a lounger, a tiny crab on the sand, and a breezy buggy-ride selfie in a pink block-print cap and cat-eye sunglasses.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Malavika was last seen alongside Prabhas, Nidhhi Agerwal and Sanjay Dutt in ‘The Raja Saab’. Prior to this, she featured opposite Siddhanth Chaturvedi in ‘Yudhra’. She now has ‘Pocket Novel’ and ‘Sardar 2’ in the pipeline.
