Kamal Haasan's 'Indian 2' has been trimmed by 12 minutes.

Kamal Haasan's latest Tamil film 'Indian 2', which has released in Hindi as 'Hindustani 2', is currently playing in theatres. The Shankar directorial has received negative reviews and it looks unlikely that the film will emerge as a box office hit. In the latest entertainment news, the sequel to 1996-hit 'Indian' has been now trimmed by 12 minutes after the audience complained that the film is overlong and lacks depth.

Lyca Productions, the production house behind the film, has decided to edit out 12 minutes from the film in a trimmed version. On Wednesday, Lyca Productions took to their official X (previously Twitter) account to share a new poster of the film.

The words in the poster read, “We heard you! Indian 2 is now trimmed by 12 minutes! Now watch the trimmed version of the film in cinemas near you!"

“Witness the enhanced version of #Indian2 🇮🇳 (scissors emoticon). Now presenting a streamlined edition trimmed by 12 min. Catch it in cinemas near you for a crisper experience!” read the caption.

In 'Indian 2', Kamal Haasan is reprising his role as Senapathy, an ageing freedom fighter, who is hell-bent on fighting against corruption.

The new Tamil film minted Rs 3 crore on Tuesday, the fifth day of its release, as per Sacnilk. The nett domestic collection of the film now stands at Rs 65.15 crore.
