For the unversed, the film is based on the book ‘The Burning Chaffees’, written by Brigadier Balram Singh Mehta.

The powerful trailer of ‘Pippa’ offered a glimpse into the Battle of Garibpur, a pivotal conflict during the Indo-Pakistan war of 1971, which played a significant role in Bangladesh’s fight for independence with the help of Indian Army.

The trailer focuses on the life of Captain Balram Mehta (Ishaan Khatter) of the 45 Cavalry Tank Squadron. It introduces the audience to the war tank called the PT-76 (Palavushi Tanka), which was popularly known as ‘Pippa’.

The trailer also takes us back in time, when India fought the Battle of Garibpur, on the eastern front. It also focuses on what led to Captain Balram Singh Mehta assuming command over the squadron.

Along with his siblings, Captain Balram Singh Mehta was on the frontlines of the war and was instrumental in India’s quest for victory.

The movie will revolve around how Indian forces gave it their all, leading to the liberation of Bangladesh.
