Jeremy Renner shares health update after being involved in an accident.

'Hawkeye' actor Jeremy Renner shared his first photo after being involved in a snow plowing accident on New Year's Day. Taking to Instagram, Renner thanked all the well-wishers for their kind words. In the photo shared by the actor, fans can see Renner having some facial bruising. He captioned the post as: "Thank you all for your kind words. Im (sic) too messed up now to type. But I send love to you all.”

Renner was involved in a weather-related accident on New Year's Day and as a result, he had to be hospitalised. It was then reported that he suffered "blunt chest trauma".

Now, Washoe County Sheriff's Office has said that Renner's accident happened as he was helping a family member whose car was stranded in the snow.

“Based on our investigation, Mr. Renner’s personal vehicle, which was being driven by a family member, had become stuck in the snow near his home,” Washoe County Sheriff Darin Balaam said during a press conference, as reported by Variety.

“Mr. Renner went to retrieve his PistenBully or Sno-Cat — an extremely large piece of snow removal equipment weighing at least 14,330 pounds — in an effort to get his vehicle moving. After successfully towing his personal vehicle from its stuck location, Mr. Renner got out of his PistenBully to speak to his family member," it was said further.

Talking further about the same, Balaam said: "At this point, it was observed that the PistenBully started to roll. In an effort to stop the rolling PistenBully, Mr. Renner attempts to get back into the driver’s seat of the PistenBully."

"Based on our investigation, it’s at this point that Mr. Renner is run over by the PistenBully. An eyewitness detailed seeing Mr. Renner getting into the PistenBully and not seeing him again until the PistenBully came to a rest in a pile of snow in front of his driveway," Balaam concluded.

Renner has starred in several Marvel projects as 'Hawkeye/Clint Barton' since the 2011-film 'Thor'. Apart from this, Renner has also starred in 'Mission: Impossible' series. He has also starred in movies like 'Arrival', 'American Hustle' and '28 Weeks Later'.

The actor is currently starring in the Taylor Sheridan series called 'Mayor of Kingstown' and the second season for the show will premiere in January this year.
