11 years after ‘The Office’ finale aired, John Krasinski and Steve Carell have reunited for a new project.

American sitcom ‘The Office’ remains iconic with so many of its scenes and dialogues living in our hearts rent-free even today. Almost 19 years ago we were introduced to the world of Dunder Mifflin when ‘The Office’ first premiered in March 2005. From Michael Scott’s (Steve Carell) version of the needy lovable and attention-seeking boss to Jim (John Krasinski) and Pam’s (Jenna Fischer) absolutely beautiful love story that will give you all the feels to Dwight’s (Rainn Wilson) antics to Stanley’s (Leslie David Baker) utter disinterest, the show features a dream team of the most eccentric employees.
These eccentric employees, lost in the cubicles of the paper company, make the show an engaging watch from the very beginning. Now, if you are a huge fan of the uber-popular workplace comedy, then you would be very happy to learn that Steve Carell and John Krasinski are reuniting!
11 years after ‘The Office’ finale aired, John Krasinski and Steve Carell are coming together for the new Hollywood film 'IF', which is a fantasy comedy, mixing elements of live action and animation.
The movie, headlined by ‘Deadpool’ star Ryan Reynolds, is written, directed, and co-produced by John Krasinski. The movie will mark the first time that John Krasinski will be directing his ‘The Office’ co-star, who has lent his voice to the animated character of Blue in the film.
John Krasinski shared a video of his reunion with Steve Carell on Twitter, and he wrote, “Reunited and it feeeeels so gooooood!”

The video is from a recording session of 'IF'. In the clip, John Krasinski is talking to the camera about reuniting with Carell “who happens to be a dear friend.”
“We worked on this little thing a long time ago,” he says, while referring to ‘The Office’.
The video then cuts to Steve Carell entering the frame, and hugging John Krasinski. They exchange pleasantries, and then Steve Carell says, “I'm glad we're getting it.”
The two then break into a laughter, and John Krasinski reveals this was Steve Carell's fifth take on staging their reunion. Towards the end of the video, we can see Steve Carell recording his lines as Blue, as John Krasinski looks on.
Speaking about 'IF', the film will be released on May 17. It will also star Emily Blunt, Matt Damon, Maya Rudolph, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Louis Gossett Jr, Jon Stewart, and Sam Rockwell.
"What if everything you believed as a kid was real? From the imagination of John Krasinski, enter a world you have to believe to see," the movie's tagline reads under its teaser trailer on YouTube.
