Pirated HD versions of 'Monkey Man' have now made their way to the internet.

Dev Patel's directorial debut 'Monkey Man' is still awaiting a release in India, and several cinephiles in the country have been expressing their disappointment on not being able to watch the latest Hollywood movie in theatres. In the latest Hollywood movie news, the desis have now found an alternate way to watch the latest Hollywood movie after 'Monkey Man' dropped on video-on-demand (VOD) platforms in the US. Following the latest Hollywood movie being made available digitally, pirated HD versions of 'Monkey Man' have now made their way to the internet. Several users have already downloaded the film, which was released in the West, earlier this month.

There are several reactions to 'Monkey Man' being leaked online. 

"Just Watched Monkey Man by Dev Patel, didn't release in Indian theatres. One of the Bravest and Best action film of 2024. Hats off to Dev Patel, who did not compromise his film. This revenge action thriller can clearly," wrote one user.

For the unversed, 'Monkey Man' has been bankrolled by Jordan Peele. Apart from Dev Patel, the latest Hollywood movie also stars Sharlto Copley, Pitobash, Vipin Sharma, Sikandar Kher, Adithi Kalkunte, and Sobhita Dhulipala.

'Monkey Man' premiered in the US, Canada, UK, and Ireland on April 5, however, it is still awaiting approval from the Central Board of Film Certification in India (CBFC), without which it cannot be released.

Earlier, the film’s makers had revealed that 'Monkey Man' is inspired by the legend of Lord Hanuman.

Made on a budget of USD 10 million, 'Monkey Man' has already collected USD 28.6 million globally.
