Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt-starrer 'The Fall Guy' is one of the most-anticipated movies of 2024, and the film will be releasing in cinemas later this year. In the latest Hollywood news, Logan Holladay, the stunt driver for Ryan Gosling’s character in the film, has now achieved the most cannon rolls in a car, with a thrilling 8.5. As a result, the stunt driver has now created a Guinness world record, and he has surpassed the previous record held by stuntman Adam Kirley. As per the official website of Guinness World Records, Kirley had performed seven cannon rolls during the filming of James Bond outing 'Casino Royale' (2006).
In the latest Hollywood news, Logan received his official Guinness World Records certificate at a special preview screening of the film in Los Angeles on March 13, 2024.
Wondering what a cannon roll is? It is a classic stunt, involving fitting a cannon-like apparatus beneath a car that shoots toward the ground. Once the vehicle reaches a desired speed, the mechanism kicks in, and propels the car into a series of rolls.
“There’s a gentleman who buckles me into a car — that’s Logan Holladay — for a stunt he’s about to do,” Gosling told the audience assembled during the screening, as reported by Variety.
“Then he goes on to do eight-and-a-half cannon rolls, which is a world record. And then he pulls me out of the car and pats me on the back for the stunt that he just did," he added.
For the unversed, 'The Fall Guy', which is inspired by the 1980s hit TV series of the same name, has been directed by David Leitch.
The movie follows the character of Ryan Gosling, springing into action to save a movie when a big star ends up disappearing at the last minute.
'The Fall Guy' is slated to release in cinemas on May 3, 2024.
