Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden-starrer 'Citadel' has been renewed for a second season by Prime Video. The official announcement was made by the official Twitter handle of 'Citadel'. "#CitadelOnPrime is officially set to return with season 2, directed by Joe Russo," tweeted the official handle. The makers have also confirmed that Joe Russo will be directing each episode in the second season, while executive producer David Weil will act as a showrunner.

'Citadel' first season has not gotten positive reviews from the critics, however, the show has become one of the most watched series in recent time.
The finale for the first season dropped on Prime Video on Friday (May 26).

This show has drawn an outsize number of new international customers to Prime Video. "Given the overwhelming number of our customers who have embraced this show, we are not only thrilled to share the premiere episode of Citadel globally without membership, but also confirm that the series will return for a second season," she added.
The Amazon Prime Video series 'Citadel' revolves around a spy organization that is on the verge of vanishing unless its top-tier agents restore the command.
‘Citadel’ is about action, drama and romance between spies Nadia (Priyanka Chopra) and Mason (Richard Madden).
The Indian edition, directed by Raj and DK, will be headlined by Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Varun Dhawan.
