American singer Nick Jonas recently did just that while promoting his wife Priyanka Chopra’s upcoming Prime Video film ‘The Bluff’, leaving fans pleasantly surprised with a thoughtful cultural nod. In a video shared on his Instagram account, Nick was seen preparing a cocktail inspired by Priyanka’s character in the film, Ercell “Bloody Mary” Bodden.

As he began mixing the drink, Nick said, “Guys it is the premiere of Priyanka’s film The Bluff on Amazon Prime. It is incredible, I have seen it twice. Her character name is Bloody M, so I will make a Bloody Mary.”

He went on to add a generous amount of Tabasco to the cocktail, jokingly suggesting that the extra spice reflected Priyanka Chopra’s personality. Later, he presented the drink to Priyanka, who appeared impressed and responded, “You have the best recipes”.

However, it wasn’t just the cocktail that caught fans’ attention. Viewers quickly noticed that Nick was wearing a mangalsutra as a bracelet – a gesture widely seen as a tribute to Priyanka’s culture. The singer was also spotted sporting the same mangalsutra at the film’s premiere later that day, as evident in red carpet photographs.
Social media was soon flooded with reactions praising Nick Jonas for the thoughtful move. Talking about ‘The Bluff’, it is a high-stakes action-adventure thriller set in the late 19th-century Caribbean. The story revolves around Ercell “Bloody Mary” Bodden, portrayed by Priyanka Chopra, a former pirate queen who leaves behind her violent past in pursuit of a peaceful life with her family on a remote island.
Her newfound calm is disrupted when members of her old crew return seeking revenge over past betrayals and stolen gold. As tensions escalate, Ercell is forced to confront her past and navigate intense clashes with her former captain, Captain Connor, played by Karl Urban.
The film also stars Ismael Cruz Córdova, Safia Oakley-Green and Temuera Morrison in key roles. Directed by Frank E. Flowers and co-written with Joe Ballarini, ‘The Bluff’ is slated to premiere on Prime Video on February 25, 2026.
