Lisa Bonet Files For Divorce From Jason Momoa, Two Years After Announcing Breakup
Lisa Bonet has filed for divorce from her husband and actor, Jason Momoa, two years after announcing their breakup.
American actors Lisa Bonet and Jason Momoa, who got married in October 2017, are parting ways. As per People Magazine, Lisa Bonet has filed for divorce from Jason Momoa two years after they first announced their breakup. According to court documents obtained by People Magazine, Lisa Bonet filed the documents citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for parting ways. Furthermore, she listed their date of separation as October 7, 2020. In the filing, Lisa Bonet asked for joint child custody and no spousal support for either side.
For the unversed, Lisa Bonet and the ‘Aquaman’ star share two children: daughter Lola (16) and son Nakoa-Wolf (15). Lisa Bonet is also a mother to actress Zoe Kravitz with ex-husband Lenny Kravitz. Zoe Kravitz recently got engaged to actor Channing Tatum.
The pair, who first met at a Los Angeles jazz club in 2005, revealed in a joint statement shared in January 2022 that they were separating.
When they announced their split two years ago, Lisa Bonet and Jason Momoa said in a statement, “We have all felt the squeeze and changes of these transformational times… A revolution is unfolding and our family is of no exception… feeling and growing from the seismic shifts occurring. And so, we share our Family news that we are parting ways in marriage.”
They explained that they were sharing the update “not because we think it's newsworthy but so that as we go about our lives we may do so with dignity and honesty.”
“The love between us carries on, evolving in ways it wishes to be known and lived. We free each other to be who we are learning to become. Our devotion unwavering to this sacred life our children. Teaching our children what's possible. Living the Prayer. May Love Prevail,” they concluded.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Jason Momoa was recently seen in the action film ‘Aquaman 2’.
