'Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom' Trailer: Jason Momoa Is Back, Amber Heard Also Returns
‘Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom’ trailer, starring Jason Momoa is out now!
The trailer of Jason Momoa-starrer 'Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom' is out now! Actor Jason Momoa will be returning as the aquatic DC hero. The new Hollywood movie will follow Arthur Curry (Jason Momoa) and how he is now sitting on the throne of Atlantis. The sequel will see him teaming up with his half-brother Orm (Patrick Wilson) to fight the ruthless pirate Black Manta (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II).
“Having failed to defeat Aquaman the first time, Black Manta, still driven by the need to avenge his father’s death, will stop at nothing to take Aquaman down once and for all. This time Black Manta is more formidable than ever before, wielding the power of the mythic Black Trident, which unleashes an ancient and malevolent force," states the official synopsis of the new Hollywood movie, as reported by Variety.
"To defeat him, Aquaman will turn to his imprisoned brother Orm, the former King of Atlantis, to forge an unlikely alliance. Together, they must set aside their differences in order to protect their kingdom and save Aquaman’s family, and the world, from irreversible destruction," he added.

Amber Heard, Nicole Kidman, Temuera Morrison, Willem Dafoe and Dolph Lundgren will also be reprising their roles from the original film.
The new cast additions include Vincent Regan, Indya Moore and Pilou Asbæk.
James Wasim has directed the film while the script has been written by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick.
The new Hollywood movie would be Amber Heard's first major project after last year's highly-publicised defamation trial between her and her ex-husband Johnny Depp.
During the trial, Amber Heard had claimed that her role in the film was cut down following the fallout from her divorce with Johnny Depp. However, the director told Entertainment Weekly that the 'Aquaman' sequel was always envisioned to focus on Arthur and Orm's relationship.
"I always pitched this to everyone from the get-go. The first ‘Aquaman’ was Arthur and Mera’s journey. The second movie was always going to be Arthur and Orm. So, the first was a romance action-adventure movie, the second one is a bromance action-adventure movie," he said.
'Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom' will be releasing in theatres on December 20, 2023.
