'House of the Dragon' Season 2 Episode 2 recap: Warning! This is going to be a spoiler-filled article.

'House of the Dragon' is one of the biggest TV shows, and we will be giving you a lowdown on everything that happened in the latest episode of the second season of the 'Game of Thrones' spinoff series. The second season episode is now available on JioCinema, and it is titled 'Rhaenyra the Cruel'. The episode is 67 minutes long. Before getting into what all happened this week, we would like to give you a warning as this is going to be a spoiler-filled article. If you haven't watched the episode, then we ask you to not read further.

Since we are now done with the disclaimer, let's get into it. For the unversed, the Season 2 premiere featured the characters of Blood and Cheese murdering Jaehaerys Targaryen, the grandson of Alicent Hightower (Olivia Cooke).

The second episode opens with the guards trying to apprehend Jaehearys’ killers before they can escape. We then see a maid carrying a blood-soaked towel. Moments later, we can see King Aegon fuming over the murder of his child. “I am the King. I declare war," he quickly declares.

Aegon then can be seen fearing for his crime, and how it can signal the weakness of his reign. Otto Hightower then recommends a state funeral, with a procession winding from the Red Keep to the Dragonpit

The funeral then takes place, and everyone pays their respects to Jaehaerys, whose head was reattached for the occasion.

Blood, Jaehaerys’ killer, is apprehended, and Aegon kills him first and then orders every rat catcher in the city to be hanged. Otto Hightower (Rhys Ifans) is also replaced as Aegon’s hand by Criston Col. The duo then start strategising for war and blame Rhaenyra Targaryen (Emma D’Arcy) for the infanticide.

In Dragonstone, the news of Jaehearys' murder makes Rhaenyra mad, and she denies having to do anything with it. She also argues with Daemon Targaryen.

Later in the episode, we can see Criston plotting a plan to kill Rhaenyra using the identical knights Arryk and Erryk Cargyll. For the unversed, Arryk pledged his service to Alicent’s greens, while Erryk joined Rhaenyra’s blacks.

Arryk then proceeds to Dragonstone, where he disguises himself as his brother. However, things go wrong, as he is found out by his twin brother Erryk.

The two brothers engage in a duel. Erryk kills his brother, then apologizes to Rhaenyra and kills himself out of sorrow for what he’s done.

With this, the recap for the second episode is done! We will be back next Monday to give you a recap of the third episode.
