Several pictures and videos that quickly surfaced on social media captured a visibly irritated Alia. Initially, the Bollywood actress stopped to interact and politely posed for selfies. Interestingly, this wasn't her only motorsport crossover of the week; she was also spotted interacting with Carlos Sainz Jr. Fans were quick to flood social media with excitement, joking that the unexpected crossover was “not on their 2026 bingo card” and playfully noting that she is “collecting F1 drivers like Pokémon”.
Beyond the viral interactions, Alia’s fashion game has been a massive talking point. For her first red-carpet outing and opening ceremony, she wore a coral custom haute couture piece by Tamara Ralph. The figure-hugging ensemble featured a strapless structured bodice with a sculpted sweetheart neckline and bold plunge, complete with a flowing chiffon scarf that offered a modern interpretation of a traditional Indian dupatta.
For her second red carpet appearance, styled by Rhea Kapoor, she embraced a fairytale-inspired look in a custom icy-blue Danielle Frankel gown. The silk satin outfit featured delicate lace detailing, a structured corset-style bodice, and a dramatic skirt. She accessorised with a vintage lace choker paired with a diamond pendant, keeping her beauty look understated with glowing skin, and a messy updo. Her packed fashion lineup also included a Tarun Tahiliani outfit paired with a lace parasol and rhinestone bindi at the Bharat Pavilion, and a regal floral brocade corset ensemble with heirloom-inspired jewellery for the L'Oréal Paris gala dinner.
Alia's eventful Cannes presence comes during a packed phase in her career. She is currently gearing up for the July 10 release of ‘Alpha’, the seventh instalment in Aditya Chopra's YRF Spy Universe. Helmed by Shiv Rawail, the film stars Sharvari, Bobby Deol, and Anil Kapoor. Following that, she will reunite with her husband Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's ‘Love & War’, slated to hit theatres on January 21, 2027.
