Bollywood actress Vaani Kapoor has steadily carved a fashion identity that favours clean sensuality over excessive styling. Whether she is slipping into an understated saree, a body-skimming dress or a sharply structured silhouette, the actress knows how to make simplicity feel striking. Her red carpet wardrobe often plays with plunging necklines, sculpted fits and dramatic details, balanced by restrained accessories and polished beauty choices. Black, in particular, has repeatedly proved to be a winning colour for Vaani, and one of her recent looks showed exactly why the timeless shade remains unbeatable.

For the appearance, Vaani Kapoor opted for a black Georges Hobeika dress, bringing together corsetry, romantic embroidery and classic evening glamour. Taking to Instagram, the Bollywood actress shared stunning photos of herself in the black number.

The floor-length creation featured a sharply structured, figure-hugging bodice with visible corset-style construction that beautifully defined her waist. Its dramatic off-the-shoulder neckline was formed by slim folded straps sitting low across the arms, while the sculpted sweetheart-inspired bust added an alluring edge. From the hips, the silhouette softened into a long, gently flared skirt, creating an elegant contrast with the fitted upper half.

The real drama, however, arrived through the embellishment. Elaborate silver floral, foliage and scrolling motifs spread across the black skirt, becoming particularly dense around the hips before gradually dispersing towards the hem. Shimmering sequins, beads and crystal-like accents gave the embroidery a dimensional finish, while a layer of sheer black tulle peeking out at the floor added softness and movement. The combination of inky black and glistening silver made the dress feel glamorous without turning overly flashy.
Vaani Kapoor wisely kept her accessories pared back and let the intricate dress remain the focal point. She wore delicate drop earrings from Irasva Fine Jewellery, featuring warm yellow-gold accents and shimmering diamonds. A slim sparkling bracelet provided another subtle touch of shine, while black open-toe heels seamlessly complemented the monochrome palette.
Her hair was styled in voluminous chestnut-brown waves, worn loose. The airy, tousled finish gave the ensemble a more effortless quality and framed her face beautifully. For makeup, Vaani Kapoor chose luminous skin with softly flushed cheeks, defined brows and striking eyes framed by black liner and mascara. A wash of smoky neutral shadow added depth without overpowering the look, while glossy muted-pink lips provided the perfect understated finish.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Vaani Kapoor was last seen in her web series debut ‘Mandala Murders’, bankrolled by Yash Raj Films.
Prior to this, she was seen playing the female lead in Ajay Devgn and Riteish Deshmukh’s ‘Raid 2’. The movie minted Rs 170 crore in India.
Vaani will be next seen in ‘Sarvgunn Sampann’. The social comedy, backed by Maddock Films, will premiere on Zee5. Also starring Ishwak Singh, the film is directed by Sonali Rattan Deshmukh and is set against the backdrop of the 1990s. It follows an unusual story in which Vaani plays the lookalike of an adult film star, using the premise to explore questions of identity, self-worth and the burden of social judgement.
