Bollywood actress Tara Sutaria has always had a soft spot for glamour that feels timeless rather than trend-driven. Her wardrobe regularly moves between slinky dresses, polished separates and dramatic eveningwear, but there is often an unmistakable old-school femininity running through it all. She also knows when to let a silhouette do the talking, favouring looks that balance sensuality with sophistication. Vintage references suit her particularly well, and she has repeatedly channelled the elegance of bygone eras without making it feel costume-like. Her latest look is another striking example of that aesthetic.

For the look, Tara Sutaria slipped into a black lace column dress by Helsa Studio, embracing head-to-toe 1950s-inspired glamour. Taking to Instagram, the young Bollywood actress shared jaw-dropping photos of herself in the black lace number.

The figure-skimming number featured a fitted, corset-like bodice with slender shoulder straps and a softly shaped neckline trimmed with delicate eyelash lace. Intricate floral lace extended down the entire length of the dress, while its semi-sheer construction allowed the lining underneath to peek through and emphasise the elaborate pattern. The narrow column silhouette hugged Tara’s frame before falling close to the ankles, where an irregular scalloped lace edge provided a delicate finish. A slit at the back added ease of movement without disrupting the streamlined shape.

The styling pushed the vintage mood even further. Tara Sutaria wore long black opera gloves by C'est Jeanne, extending above her elbows and bringing instant old-Hollywood drama to the ensemble. Around her neck sat several strands of pearls, creating a statement collar-like effect, while pearl-centred vintage-style earrings complemented them beautifully. Her jewellery was credited to Amaris Jewels. She finished the monochrome outfit with Andrea Wazen's black Katy Sling Lace 105 heels, which featured pointed toes and lace detailing. In some photographs, Tara also added slim black Gucci sunglasses, lending the otherwise classic look a playful film-noir edge.
Her beauty look was equally committed to the era. Tara Sutaria’s dark hair was swept into a beautifully sculpted updo, with a glossy rolled wave framing one side of her forehead and the rest neatly pinned at the back. Makeup remained polished but striking, featuring luminous skin, softly flushed cheeks, defined brows and an immaculate black wing extending from her eyes. A muted neutral-brown lip balanced the dramatic liner.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Tara Sutaria can be currently seen in 'Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown Ups', directed by Geetu Mohandas. The action thriller also features Yash, Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi and Rukmini Vasanth. It released in theatres on August 26 and has so far made Rs 235 crore in India.
Prior to this, Tara was seen in the 2023 OTT movie ‘Apurva’, which was released on Disney+ Hotstar. The Nikhil Nagesh Bhat directorial also starred Abhishek Banerjee, Rajpal Yadav, Dhairya Karwa, Aaditya Gupta and Sumit Gulati.
