Janhvi Kapoor embraced regal elegance in a bespoke mauve Kanchivaram-inspired silk saree paired with gold jewellery.
Janhvi Kapoor has steadily carved a niche for herself as one of Bollywood’s most experimental dressers, effortlessly balancing modern glamour with timeless Indian craftsmanship. Her latest appearance is yet another example, where a classic saree is reimagined with vintage-inspired elegance and regal jewellery.
For this look, Janhvi Kapoor slipped into a bespoke Manish Malhotra ensemble that reinterpreted the traditional Kanchivaram saree with a contemporary lens. Taking to Instagram, the Bollywood actress shared stunning photos of herself in the saree.

The silk saree came in a soft mauve-lavender hue enriched with a luminous antique gold sheen and intricate woven floral brocade motifs throughout. Broad embroidered zardosi borders featuring intricate metallic detailing framed the six-yard drape, while the pallu was styled in a classic nivi drape over one shoulder.
Instead of a conventional blouse, she wore a matching silk mauve one-shoulder, strapless-inspired blouse with a plunging neckline that paid homage to the glamorous silhouettes of the 1960s, particularly the iconic styling associated with Vyjayanthimala in Amrapali. The fitted blouse beautifully highlighted the shoulders while the neatly draped pleats and sculpted waist created a statuesque silhouette.
Elevating the look further was a statement gold kamarbandh by Amrapali Jewels that cinched the waist and added a royal finish. The images also highlighted the rich texture of the silk weave, the shimmering gold brocade and the elegant fall of the pallu from every angle, while the back profile showcased the minimalist back strap construction of the blouse.
The jewellery was intentionally maximalist, complementing the regal mood of the outfit. Janhvi Kapoor layered an elaborate diamond-and-pearl choker necklace from Mahesh Notandass with matching chandelier earrings adorned with pearl drops. Her stacked bangles combined pieces from Sanzany Jewels and Maya Sanghavi Jewels, while statement rings by Anupa Tulsi Jewellers completed the hand jewellery. She also wore an ornate gold bajubandh on one arm, adding another traditional touch, while the heavily embellished kamarbandh remained the focal accessory.
Her hair was swept into a sleek centre-parted bun wrapped with a pearl hair accessory, lending the look an old-world charm. Soft radiant skin, fluttery lashes, feathered brows, rosy eyes, glossy muted pink lips and a tiny bindi completed the beauty look, perfectly balancing the grandeur of the ensemble without overwhelming its timeless elegance.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Janhvi Kapoor recently featured alongside Ram Charan in ‘Peddi’. The sports action drama, directed by Buchi Babu Sana, released in cinemas on June 4. It minted Rs 341 crore worldwide and Rs 243 crore in India net.
Prior to this, Janhvi starred opposite Varun Dhawan in 'Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari'. The movie, co-starring Sanya Malhotra and Rohit Saraf, released on Dussehra 2025.
