‘Housefull 5’ Advance Booking Day 1: Akshay Kumar-Starrer Off To Slow Start
‘Housefull 5’, starring Akshay Kumar, Jacqueliene Fernandez, Abhishek Bachchan and Riteish Deshmukh, is one of the most-awaited Bollywood films of 2025.

'Housefull 5', featuring a star-studded cast including Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri, Sonam Bajwa, and Fardeen Khan, is one of the most anticipated Bollywood releases of 2025. Fans are especially thrilled to see Akshay Kumar return to his comedy roots. The film will hit the theatres on June 6, with advance bookings already in full swing. What sets this installment apart is a unique twist – the film will release in two different versions, each with a distinct ending, marking a first-of-its-kind moment in the history of Indian cinema.
According to industry tracker Sacnilk, ‘Housefull 5’ has so far sold 45,612 tickets for the opening day of its release, grossing Rs 1.53 crore. If one takes blocked seats into account, then the amount swells up to Rs 4.79 crore.
The term ‘blocked’ refers to the seats that are temporarily unavailable for booking because they have been selected by another user and are being held for a short period while they complete their transaction.
‘Housefull 5’ has been directed by Tarun Mansukhani. Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, and Abhishek Bachchan are the main suspects for a murder in the film.
The film also stars Soundarya Sharma, Chitrangada Singh, Shreyas Talpade, Johnny Lever, Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff, Chunky Panday, and more.
During the trailer launch event, producer Sajia Nadiadwala revealed that 'Housefull 5' will be released in theatres with multiple endings to keep the audience guessing.
"I have been thinking about this idea for the past 30 years - how to create a thriller with an X factor that leaves the audience talking long after they leave the theatre. So I came up with a story where every theatre will have a different killer," he said.
"So if you watch it at Gaiety, it’ll have one killer. If you watch it at Galaxy, there’ll be somebody else. In PVR screen number 4, you’ll see a different killer, and in PVR screen number 5, yet another one. It’s like every time you watch the film, you’ll get a different ending," he added.
