As soon as any new poster or trailer of a show or movie comes out, fan theories start floating online with intrigued viewers trying to decode beyond what’s being shown to them. The trailer of Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri and Ammy Virk’s upcoming movie ‘Bad Newz’ is set to release soon. The movie has been backed by ace director-producer Karan Johar. Ahead of the trailer’s launch today, the makers have generated buzz around the film with some fun and quirky posters. Taking a different route, the makers are directly releasing the first trailer of the film without unveiling the teaser.
Ahead of the film’s trailer release, Karan Johar and Vicky Kaushal took to their Instagram Stories to address a fan theory that left them amused.
A fan, trying to decode the film’s story, suggested that Vicky and Ammy’s characters would consider having a child via surrogacy, leading to confusion over whose child Triptii’s character is carrying. The fan theory further suggested an emotional journey, where the trio decided to raise the child together, only to discover in the end that the baby isn’t biologically related to either of the men.
In response to this theory, Vicky Kaushal hilariously said, “Dharma ki film hai, Nolan ki nahi.” Karan Johar shared Vicky’s exchange with the fan on his Instagram Story, writing, “Hahahahaha.” He also added several hashtags.
Taking to his Instagram Stories, Vicky Kaushal re-shared Karan Johar’s IG Story and wrote, “Loving the #BadNewz predictions… keep them coming.”
The upcoming movie, directed by Anand Tiwari, has already created significant buzz on social media owing to its posters. The upcoming movie, which marks Vicky Kaushal’s first collaboration with Triptii Dimri, is scheduled to release in theatres on July 19.
‘Bad Newz’ comes after the commercial success of the film ‘Good Newwz’, featuring Kareena Kapoor Khan, Akshay Kumar, Kiara Advani, and Diljit Dosanjh.
Meanwhile, Triptii Dimri is currently enjoying the success of ‘Animal’. Released in December 2023, the film also starred Ranbir Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor and more.
Apart from ‘Bad Newz’, Triptii will also be seen in Kartik Aaryan’s ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’. Triptii has also shot for ‘Vicky Aur Vidya Ka Voh Wala Video’ with Rajkummar Rao.
Vicky Kaushal, on the other hand, was last seen in ‘Sam Bahadur’. Apart from Bad Newz, he will also be seen in ‘Chhava’, co-starring Rashmika Mandanna.
