The highly anticipated fantasy-folklore adventure has finally unveiled its latest track ‘Thummak Thummak’, offering audiences a massive, colourful shift from the film's previously established dark mystery. Featuring the fresh on-screen pairing of Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia, this vibrant dance number is officially here to dominate your festive playlists.

Breaking away from the spooky, ancient forest vibes of earlier promos, the ‘Thummak Thummak’ music video immerses viewers in a full-blown street celebration. The visuals showcase a beautifully lit, festive neighbourhood adorned with strings of fairy lights, creating a warm, massy party atmosphere.

Tamannaah Bhatia absolutely steals the spotlight in a stunning blue and silver lehenga, effortlessly nailing the upbeat, high-energy dance moves. Sidharth Malhotra complements the festive vibe perfectly, stepping onto the dance floor in a crisp, dapper white ethnic ensemble, looking like he is genuinely having a blast. Directed and choreographed by Bosco Leslie Martis, the dance moves are infectious, featuring the lead duo surrounded by an army of background dancers executing synchronized, massy hook steps. The chemistry between Sidharth and Tamannaah takes centre stage, proving they can handle unabashed, commercial Bollywood masala just as well as intense mythological drama.

Released under the Zee Music Company label, ‘Thummak Thummak’ is composed by Tanishk Bagchi, who has a proven track record of delivering certified club bangers. The energetic vocals are provided by Dev Negi and Akasa Singh, giving the track a peppy, celebratory flair. The catchy lyrics, penned by Shabbir Ahmed alongside Tanishk Bagchi, are designed to get stuck in your head immediately. To elevate the track's rhythm, additional programming was handled by Ankush, while Krishna Kishor contributed the infectious additional percussion.
What makes ‘Thummak Thummak’ so interesting is how it expands the cinematic palette of ‘The Vvaan - Force of the Forrest’. Until now, the promotional material – including the trailer – focused heavily on the supernatural elements, mysterious traditions, and the eerie legend of a forbidden forest governed by a divine goddess and dark forces. The film is set against the backdrop of Bihar and heavily explores Indian folklore, ancient beliefs, and the conflict between rationality and the supernatural.
However, this song introduces the celebratory, commercial side of the story. It proves that while the movie, directed by Deepak Mishra and written by TVF's Arunabh Kumar, leans heavily into mystery, adventure, and horror, it also balances those darker themes with romance, humour, and mainstream entertainment.
Amid the release of ‘Thummak Thummak’, the film has landed in controversy. Composer Sargam Vaish took to Instagram on Sunday to accuse the makers of using his song in the trailer of the film without his prior permission. He urged the makers to take down the song and warned of possible legal action. He alleged that his song ‘Aigiri Nandini’, that he has been working on for the past three years, was used in the trailer of the film without his permission. The song was used from 1.08 - 1.30 seconds in the trailer, and he showed proof in the video by playing that part in the trailer.
Backed by Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa R Kapoor, Arunabh Kumar, and Niraj Kothari, the film also features a stellar supporting cast including Sunil Grover, Maniesh Paul, Shweta Tiwari, and Anup Soni. With ‘Thummak Thummak’ setting the perfect festive mood, ‘The Vvaan’ is gearing up for a major theatrical release on September 25, 2026.
