Saif Ali Khan reveals Taimur Ali Khan's heartbreaking question after attack.

Saif Ali Khan is currently recovering from multiple stab wounds after a shocking attack at his Bandra residence in Mumbai. While recounting the ordeal, the actor has now shared how his son, Taimur Ali Khan, and wife, Kareena Kapoor Khan, reacted to the terrifying incident. Taimur, just eight years old, was deeply worried about his father’s condition and even asked if he would survive. Despite the traumatic experience, Saif Ali Khan found solace in his son’s presence, who insisted on accompanying him to the hospital.

On January 16, an intruder stabbed Saif Ali Khan multiple times at his home, leaving him severely injured. Speaking to Bombay Times recently, he recalled how his kurta was drenched in blood following the attack. In a desperate attempt to get medical help, Kareena, along with their children—Taimur and Jeh—ran downstairs, frantically searching for an auto or cab to rush him to the hospital.

Detailing the moments before receiving medical aid, Saif Ali Khan shared, “I said, I kind of feel some pain. There’s something wrong with my back. She said – you go to the hospital and I’ll go to my sister’s house. She was making calls frantically – but nobody was up. And we looked at each other, and I said, ‘I’m fine. I’m not going to die.’ And Taimur also asked me – ‘Are you going to die?’ I said, ‘No.’”

Despite his young age, Taimur remained composed and insisted on going with Saif to the hospital. Saif shared, “He was absolutely composed. He was fine. He said, ‘I’m coming with you.’ And I thought, if something happens, I was getting a lot of comfort just from looking at him at that time. And I didn’t want to go alone.”

He continued, “My wife sent him knowing what he would do for me. Maybe it wasn’t at the moment, it was the right thing to do. I felt good about it.”

Saif Ali Khan also admitted that if something had gone terribly wrong, he would have wanted his son by his side. Eventually, the actor was rushed to the hospital in an auto-rickshaw, accompanied by Taimur and his staff member, Hari.

Saif said, “And I also thought, if God forbid, something happens, I’d like for him to be there. And he wanted to be there also. So, we went – him, me and Hari – in the rickshaw.”

The Bollywood star sustained injuries to his neck, back, and arm during the attack. Thankfully, he is on the road to recovery.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Saif will be next seen in ‘Jewel Thief – The Heist Begins’. The movie also stars Jaideep Ahlawat. It promises a mix of action, suspense, and mind games as it follows the tale of a master conman orchestrating daring robberies. The Siddharth Anand directorial will release on Netflix this year.
