Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor Issue New Guidelines For Paparazzi Days After Brutal Attack
Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor have now laid down new rules for the paparazzi, in order to ensure their safety.
Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan returned back home from hospital earlier last week. He was hospitalised after being stabbed inside his Bandra residence in Mumbai. The ‘Devara: Part 1’ star and his wife-actress Kareena Kapoor Khan have now laid down new rules for the paparazzi, in order to ensure their safety. As per a report in The Times of India, Kareena Kapoor Khan’s team held a meeting with the shutterbugs on Tuesday to inform them about the new guidelines.
As per the report, Saif and Kareena have asked the photographers to not click pictures of their children -- Taimur Ali Khan and Jehangir (Jeh) Ali Khan. They have also asked the paparazzi to not gather outside their residence.
However, the shutterbugs can click pictures of Kareena and Saif if they are somewhere out, attending an event.
For the unversed, Saif Ali Khan was attacked in the early hours of January 16 inside his Bandra residence in Mumbai. He was then rushed to Lilavati Hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery.
The actor was finally discharged on January 21. The police have nabbed the accused named Mohammad Shariful Islam Shahzad. As per the investigation, it has come to light that he entered Saif and Kareena's house with the intent of committing theft.
There was a violent confrontation between the alleged attacker and Saif. The latter was stabbed repeatedly and he suffered injuries to his thoracic spine and other body parts. He was then rushed to Lilavati Hospital for immediate treatment.
“It has been an incredibly challenging day for our family, and we are still trying to process the events that have unfolded. As we navigate this difficult time, I respectfully and humbly request that the media and paparazzi refrain from the relentless speculation and coverage,” Kareena Kapoor Khan said in her official statement.
“While we appreciate the concern and support, the constant scrutiny and attention are not only overwhelming but also pose a significant risk to our safety. I kindly request that you respect our boundaries and give us the space we need to heal and cope as a family. I would like to thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation during this sensitive time,” she added.
