Sunita Ahuja broke her silence on Govinda’s affair rumours, clarifying the truth and expressing her hope for a controversy-free, happier 2026.
Sunita Ahuja, wife of Bollywood actor Govinda, has finally addressed the whirlwind of divorce rumours and affair speculations that shadowed the couple throughout 2025. In a candid conversation with ETimes, the star wife-turned-YouTuber didn't hold back, clarifying the nature of the controversies and her hopes for a cleansed 2026. While rumours previously linked Govinda to a Marathi actress, Sunita set the record straight: the woman in question is not from the film industry.
Sunita Ahuja, who never shies away from speaking her mind, claimed that the woman “doesn’t love him; she only wants his money”. She further defended the acting fraternity, stating that actresses don't do such “bad things”.
“I treat 2025 as a very bad year for me because I've been hearing about Govinda's controversy that he is having an affair with a girl, but I know that she's not an actress because actresses don't do such bad things. She doesn't love him; she only wants his money,” Sunita shared.
Govinda’s wife also emphasized that there are only three essential women in his life – his mother, his wife, and his daughter. She stated firmly, “I am hoping that Govinda realises that the most important things in his life are three women: his mother, his wife, and his daughter. No one has a right to keep the fourth woman in their life. This is for every man in the world, including Govinda. I want Chi Chi to leave all his chamchas and focus on his work because even they are with him for money.”
Looking ahead to 2026, she has a clear manifesto for her husband. She wants Govinda to put a final stop to all controversies. “I wish to change my life in 2026. I want Govinda to put an end to all these controversies, and I want a happy family in 2026. I hope it happens very soon,” Sunita said.
Earlier this year, there were rumours about a divorce between Sunita and Govinda. Speaking to the media during the Ganesh Chaturthi celebration, Sunita strongly dismissed them.
Sunita had said, “Aaj media ke muh pe thappad nahi padi hai kya? Humko saath me dekh kar. Itna close... agar kuch hota toh itne nazdeek hote? Humari duriya hoti. Koi hum dono ko alag nahi kar sakta. Chahe upar se koi bhi aa jaye... Mera Govinda sirf mera hi hai aur kisi ka nahi hai.”
While her personal life was turbulent, 2025 marked a professional milestone for Sunita Ahuja. She successfully launched her career as a vlogger. Her YouTube channel has already amassed 286K subscribers. Despite facing "haters," she expressed deep gratitude for the love she has received from her viewers.
For the unversed, Govinda and Sunita married in 1987 and share two children: Tina and Yashvardhan. Tina Ahuja made her Bollywood debut in 2015 with ‘Second Hand Husband’, while her brother Yashvardhan is currently preparing for his much-anticipated acting debut.
