The teaser for Shraddha Kapoor's 'Eetha' has been unveiled.

Shraddha Kapoor is one of the few young actresses in the country who enjoys a massive fan following, and over the last few years, she has managed to build a solid fanbase. Hence, it's not surprising that her supporters cannot control their excitement ahead of the release of her upcoming film titled 'Eetha'. The Hindi film marks the first collaboration between Shraddha and 'Chhaava' director Laxman Utekar. On Tuesday, production house Maddock Films dropped the official teaser for 'Eetha', and the clip is everything we expected.

The two-minute-four-second teaser opens with a dance performance underway, and the crowd gets riled up when they don't spot Eetha on stage. The loud chants of Eetha break out, and we are shown the first glimpse of Shraddha's character. She can be seen crying in pain as she prepares for a performance despite being pregnant.

Shraddha gets up despite being pregnant and gets ready to take the stage against all odds. Even when she is warned that dancing could cost her life, she proudly declares, “Padi padi mari toh bechari kehlaungi, naachte hue mari toh misaal ban jaaungi.”

The teaser then showcases snippets of Vithabai's journey and her unwavering dedication to her art form.

Speaking of 'Eetha', the upcoming Hindi film has been directed by Laxman Utekar, the filmmaker of Vicky Kaushal-starrer blockbuster 'Chhaava'. The project is based on the life of legendary Maharashtrian Tamasha and Lavani artist Vithabai Bhau Mang Narayangaonkar.

For the unversed, Vithabai Bhau Mang Narayangaonkar is known as the most influential figure in Marathi folk theatre. She is famous for her work in tamasha and lavani, earning recognition for her performances and playing a significant role in preserving and promoting Maharashtra's rich folk traditions.

Backed by Maddock Films and produced by Dinesh Vijan, the film also stars Randeep Hooda and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub in pivotal roles. 'Eetha' is scheduled to release in theatres on August 28. The movie will face stiff box-office competition from Yash, Nayanthara, and Kiara Advani's 'Toxic', which will hit theatres on August 26.

Speaking of Shraddha, her last role was in 'Stree 2', which was also backed by Maddock Films. The horror comedy, also starring Rajkumar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurana and Abhishek Banerjee, turned out to be a monstrous hit, earning more than Rs 600 crore in India.
