Shahid Kapoor turned cricketer for a day at Lord’s.

It’s not every day that Bollywood stars get to live out their sporting dreams on iconic grounds. But Shahid Kapoor just did exactly that – swapping the film set for cricket whites and heading to London’s legendary Lord’s Cricket Ground. The actor, who once portrayed a cricketer in 'Jersey', brought that energy back in real life as he played a friendly match at the Home of Cricket. Sharing a delightful photo dump on Instagram, Shahid gave fans a glimpse into his sporty day – complete with wife Mira Rajput cheering him on from the stands.

In the photos, Shahid was suited up in full cricket gear, and fans couldn't help but feel a wave of nostalgia for his ‘Jersey’ days. He captioned the post, “What a day!”

Check out Shahid Kapoor’s Instagram post below:

In the first frame, Shahid struck a powerful pose in front of the iconic Lord’s Pavilion, dressed in a crisp white cricket jersey with the word “LORD’S” emblazoned across his chest. Donning his shades and a slight smirk, he looked every bit the cricket hero.

The second image captured him mid-walk, all geared up with pads, gloves, helmet and bat – grinning wide as he got ready to take the field.

Another standout shot featured Shahid with wife Mira Rajput, both twinning in shades of white as they posed lovingly in the stands. Mira’s supportive presence was a sweet highlight for fans, showing her cheering on her husband from the sidelines.

The album also included camaraderie shots – one with a fellow cricketer and another charming frame with a close-up selfie featuring Shahid and a friend, both all smiles after what seems like a victorious match.

Switching gears from sport to suave, Shahid Kapoor also shared pictures of himself in a navy-blue shirt paired with formal pants and beige boots, posing inside the Lord’s dining hall and later at the ground with a coffee in hand – proving that his off-field fashion game is just as sharp.

Fans were especially delighted to spot action photos of Shahid batting, shared by the official @homeofcricket page with the caption: “An absolute privilege to have @shahidkapoor playing at the Home of Cricket today!”

In one shot, he was captured mid-swing, in full control of his stance, while another frame showed him exchanging a respectful handshake with a co-player.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Shahid Kapoor will be next seen in 'Arjun Ustara' alongside Triptii Dimri, Nana Patekar, and Randeep Hooda.
