Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, who was last seen in ‘Sikandar’, continued his Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations as he paid a visit to Maharashtra minister Ashish Shelar’s home in Mumbai for Ganpati Darshan on Monday. Pictures and videos of the superstar attending the pooja quickly surfaced online, showing him in a devotional mood while offering prayers to Lord Ganesha. Just last week, Salman Khan and his family held their own Ganpati Visarjan, marked by music, dhol beats, and heartfelt rituals. The actor had shared a video on Instagram where each family member took turns carrying the idol of Bappa before the immersion, making it a deeply personal and emotional celebration for the Khan household.
Ganesh Chaturthi, one of India’s most beloved festivals, is observed over ten days. It begins on the fourth day of the Hindu lunisolar month of Bhadrapada and concludes with Anantha Chaturdashi, when the idols are immersed in water bodies amid music, chants, and dancing.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Salman Khan was last seen in AR Murugadoss’ action drama ‘Sikandar’, where he starred opposite Rashmika Mandanna. His next big-screen outing will be ‘Battle of Galwan’, directed by Apoorva Lakhia, in which he will essay the role of an Indian Army soldier. The film, which is inspired by the 2020 Galwan Valley clashes at the India-China border, will also star Chitrangda Singh.
Alongside films, Salman Khan continues his long-running stint as the host of ‘Bigg Boss’. The newly released 19th season, themed ‘Gharwalon Ki Sarkaar’, features a diverse lineup of contestants including Gaurav Khanna, Kunickaa Sadanand, Awez Darbar, Nagma Mirajkar, Amaal Mallik, Ashnoor Kaur, Zeishan Quadri, Abhishek Bajaj, Natalia Janoszek, Farhana Bhatt, Mridul Tiwari, Neelam Giri, Pranit More, Baseer Ali, Tanya Mittal, and Nehal.
