Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan is finally on Instagram, and he is already treating the internet to some picture-perfect glimpses of his personal life. Earlier this month, the actor made his long-awaited debut on the social media platform. Fans, who previously had to rely on Kareena Kapoor Khan’s feed for their daily dose of the Pataudi family, now have a direct pass to his updates. His latest offering? A stunning, laid-back European holiday album straight from the rolling hills of Burgundy, France.
Taking a break from their busy lives, Saif, Kareena, and their adorable sons, Taimur and Jeh, alongside a few friends, are currently soaking in the old-world charm of Nuits-Saint-Georges. Located in the Yonne department of the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region in north-central France, this historic wine town is serving as the ultimate calm village escape for the Bollywood royals.

The vacation photo dump captures the simple joys of travel – from the couple enjoying local wineries to Taimur and Jeh peacefully engrossed in books at a local library.
But it was Saif’s playful humour that truly stole the show. Posing beside a countryside road signpost pointing toward Nuits-Saint-Georges, Villars-Fontaine, Sombernon, and Meuilley, the actor added a cheeky twist by personally editing the fine print on the signboards. Sharing the scenic street shots against the green surroundings, he captioned the post: “Taking mixed signs to an international level. Why pick a direction when sitting at the crossroads gets you a better view anyway? Found myself lost somewhere in the vines of Nuits-Saint-Georges...where every detour is just an excuse to track down another bottle of Burgundy. PS: spot the difference. How closely did you read the fine print on slide 1?”
True to their relaxed yet chic aesthetic, the couple completely nailed their wine-tasting vacation wardrobe. Kareena opted for a minimal, body-hugging deep grey tank top with a U-neckline and sleeveless design, paired effortlessly with baggy mint-green pants, comfortable walking sneakers, and a tan-coloured Hermes over-the-body bag. She completed the look with dainty earrings, sunglasses, and loose tresses. Complementing her vibe, Saif looked dapper in a classic white linen shirt featuring a Mandarin collar and full-length sleeves folded to the elbows. He paired it with bright pink linen shorts, beige loafers, sunglasses, and a stylish watch.
For those curious about the family's idyllic French surroundings, Nuits-Saint-Georges is famous for its world-renowned wine tastings and local culinary heritage along the Route des Grands Crus. Visitors can cycle or drive through vineyard paths to the iconic Romanée-Conti estate in neighbouring Vosne-Romanée, explore the historic Clos de Vougeot Castle, or visit Château de Meursault – a massive wine estate boasting 35 appellations, including 18 Premier Crus and three Grand Crus.
Beyond wine, the town is steeped in rich culture and historic architecture. The destination features the 1610-built, two-storey Beffroi de Nuits-Saint-Georges with its historic cellar in the main square. History buffs can visit the 13th-century Église Saint-Symphorien, a church blending Gothic and Romanesque traditions that houses a 17th-century covered entrance porch and a rare 15th-century wooden lectern. There is also the Musée de Nuits-Saint-Georges, which offers free entry to view Gallo-Roman artefacts, medieval objects, and pottery excavated from the nearby Les Bolards archaeological site, while Le Cassisium and the Védrenne liqueur factory celebrate the town's blackcurrant heritage.
While the actor is currently enjoying this well-deserved break, he continues to make waves on the professional front. Saif was last seen in the film ‘Haiwaan’, directed by Priyadarshan. The project was highly anticipated as it brought him and co-star Akshay Kumar back together on screen after more than a decade, with their last outing together being the 2008 film ‘Tashan’.
Meanwhile, Kareena was last seen alongside Prithviraj Sukumaran in Meghna Gulzar’s ‘Daayra’.
