Saif Ali Khan has been discharged from Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital after five days of treatment following a brutal knife attack.

The entire nation was left in a state of shock after Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan was stabbed multiple times by an intruder at his Bandra residence in Mumbai in the early hours of January 16. The ‘Devara: Part 1’ star was immediately rushed to Lilavati Hospital, where he underwent surgery. He has now been discharged from the hospital following the knife attack. Saif was seen at his apartment building, wearing a white shirt and blue denims. He arrived back home amidst high security.

Earlier, Saif Ali Khan’s wife and actress Kareena Kapoor Khan and daughter Sara Ali Khan were seen reaching the hospital.
For the unversed, the Bollywood actor was injured during an alleged robbery attempt when an intruder broke into his home on January 16. He sustained multiple wounds, including a significant injury to his spine, which required surgery to remove knife fragments. He underwent two critical procedures -- neurosurgery and plastic surgery.
As per several reports, Saif Ali Khan was allegedly attacked by Shariful Islam Shehzad Mohammad Rohilla Amin Fakir, who changed his name to Vijay Das. The police identified him as a Bangladeshi national living in India without valid identity documents.
According to the police, the accused has confessed to the horrific crime. He was produced in a Bandra court on Sunday, and was remanded to five days of police custody for further questioning.
As per The Indian Express, the Mumbai Police have gotten their hands on what they claim are the strongest pieces of evidence against the attacker. Sources confirmed to The Indian Express that fingerprints lifted from the crime scene match those of the accused.
On Tuesday morning, the police officials took the attacker to Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor's house and railway station to recreate the crime scene.
Saif and Kareena, who have been married since 2012, live in the Satguru Sharan building in Mumbai's Bandra West. They are parents to two sons -- Taimur and Jeh.
