Bollywood actress Richa Chadha, who recently featured in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s OTT debut series ‘Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar’, reviewed Ajay Devgn’s last released ‘Maidaan’. The film, directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma, released on the occasion of Eid 2024. ‘Maidaan’, which clashed with Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff’s ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ at the box office, received good reviews from critics. However, the 2024 Hindi movie did not perform well at the box office. Recently, ‘Maidaan’ landed on the OTT platform Amazon Prime Video.
After the movie released digitally, it has been receiving a lot of love and praise. The latest to watch and praise ‘Maidaan’ is Richa Chadha. Taking to Instagram Stories, Richa Chadha penned a long note, praising the Ajay Devgn-starrer.
She wrote, “Just watched the Maidaan. A near perfect film, top notch in all departments. Superb story telling, brilliantly shot, actors that cant actually play the sport, great music, stunning performances. @iamitrsharma take a bow! One of the best sports films to come out of India, and then some. @ajaydevgn sir @slowcheeta blood, sweat and tears brother. Best change of heart ever @gajrajrao. Just loved it.”
In another IG Story, she added, “Also very well cast by @vaibhav_vishant. Lol what does it even take? This film had everything going! ‘Maidaan’ also stars Priyamani and Gajraj Rao in pivotal roles. It is based on the life of Indian football legend Syed Abdul Rahim.
Meanwhile, Richa Chadha was last seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s new Netflix show ‘Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar’, co-starring Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sanjeeda Shaikh, and Sharmin Segal.
‘Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar’, which has been renewed for a second season, premiered on Netflix on May 1.
