Bollywood actress Palak Tiwari has dropped a new photo dump on Instagram, and true to form, it refuses to pick a single mood. The actress shared a multi-slide carousel captioned simply “It's murdle szn” – a nod to the detective puzzle book that turns up in the closing frames – and it has already crossed 99K likes, with over 315 comments within 18 hours of going up. Among the first to hit like was her mother, television star Shweta Tiwari, whose name sits right at the top of the likes list.

The dump opens the way most of Palak's do: with a golden-hour car selfie. Lit almost entirely by late-afternoon sun spilling through the window, she keeps her hair loose and windswept, her skin glassy, and adds one tiny detail that fans will inevitably zoom in on – a small yellow star pimple patch perched on her cheek.

From there, the carousel swings straight into work mode. One slide catches her mid-fitting in a heavily embellished teal lehenga – a beaded bralette paired with a fluted, crystal-flecked skirt and a matching sheer dupatta draped over the shoulders. The setting gives the game away: a vanity room cluttered with garment bags, jewellery boxes and stacked outfits, with a pair of sneakers and blue Crocs visible on the floor. Another frame from what appears to be the same set of glam days shows her in an ivory zip-up hoodie thrown casually over a crystal-embroidered blouse, snapping a mirror selfie on a digital camera – the flash blowing out half the frame in that deliberately grainy Y2K style.
There is also a proper red-carpet moment tucked in. Against a fuchsia-lit backdrop, Palak poses in a sheer black strapless gown, stacked gold and silver cuffs on her wrist and sculptural earrings framing her caramel-highlighted hair.
But the softer slides are the ones doing the emotional heavy lifting. In one, she is crouched on the ground at night in a pale pink outfit, arms wrapped around a brown Indie dog who is mid-nuzzle against her cheek – Palak grinning wide. Another shows a bunch of stargazer lilies held up in low light while she balances three matte lip tints in coral, berry and burnt orange across her fingers. There's a goofy extreme close-up of her cheek pressed against an orange object with a doodled face drawn on it, and a bare-faced bathroom mirror selfie in a slouchy mauve knit slipping off one shoulder.
Then comes the self-care stretch that explains the caption. One slide has her flat on pink bedding in a hydrogel sheet mask, deadpan into the camera. The next has her in a red devil-horn headband, face smeared with a white cream mask, tongue out – holding up a copy of ‘Murdle’, G.T. Karber's bestselling logic-puzzle series. The final slide is a close-up of the open page itself, laying out suspect motives ranging from scaring off a bear to stealing a rare book, alongside clues about candles, red hair and one very on-brand line about a vengeful Scorpio.
For the unversed, Palak Tiwari first tasted success with Punjabi singer Harrdy Sandhu's popular music video of ‘Bijlee Bijlee’. She later made her Bollywood debut in 2023 with Farhad Samji's ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’, which starred Salman Khan and Pooja Hegde in the lead roles.
Palak Tiwari most recently featured in the Amazon Prime Video series ‘Lukkhe’, co-starring Raashii Khanna. Prior to this, she was seen in the 2025 movie ‘The Bhootnii’, co-starring Sanjay Dutt, Mouni Roy, Sunny Singh, Beyounick and Aasif Khan.
