Mrunal Thakur blushed when Siddhant Chaturvedi teased her over her alleged Chennai connection amid ongoing Dhanush dating rumours.
Bollywood actress Mrunal Thakur has been making headlines for her personal life ever since she was rumoured to be dating actor Dhanush. The speculation began in August last year after the two were spotted together at the ‘Son of Sardaar 2’ premiere. Adding fresh fuel to the chatter, Mrunal’s co-star Siddhant Chaturvedi was recently seen playfully teasing her over her alleged “Chennai connection,” leaving the actress visibly blushing.
Mrunal Thakur and Siddhant Chaturvedi were out promoting their upcoming film ‘Do Deewane Seher Mein’ when the light-hearted moment unfolded. During the interaction, a reporter remarked, “Voh Chennai waale kuch sawaal pooch rahe the aapse.” Siddhant immediately jumped in, pointing towards Mrunal and quipping, “Inse tha voh Chennai waala yaa mujhse tha?”
Mrunal was quick to clarify that the question was meant for him. As Siddhant and the reporters broke into laughter, the teasing continued, with reporters adding, “Hum samajh rahe hain.” Throughout the exchange, Mrunal couldn’t stop smiling and blushing, further amusing those present.
The playful moment comes amid persistent dating rumours linking Mrunal to Dhanush, who is based in Chennai. The speculation initially gained traction after their joint appearance at the ‘Son of Sardaar 2’ premiere. Dhanush later added to the buzz when he commented on the teaser of ‘Do Deewane Seher Mein’, writing, “Looks and sounds good,” to which Mrunal replied with heart and sunflower emojis.
More recently, reports even claimed that Mrunal and Dhanush were planning to tie the knot on Valentine’s Day. However, a source told HT City that there is no truth to these claims. “Mrunal is not getting married next month. This is just a rumour that has gained traction,” the source said.
It was further pointed out that ‘Do Deewane Seher Mein’, which features Mrunal opposite Siddhant Chaturvedi, is scheduled for release around the same time as the alleged wedding date, making such speculation unlikely. “She has a film releasing in February—why would she get married so close to its release? Then in March, she also has a Telugu film lined up,” the source added.

The film stars Mrunal Thakur and Siddhant Chaturvedi in the lead roles, with Ila Arun, Joy Sengupta and Ayesha Raza playing key supporting roles. ‘Do Deewane Seher Mein’ is slated to hit theatres on February 20.
