Mandana Karimi Reacts To Severe Backlash For Her Post On ‘Operation Sindoor’
Iranian actress Mandana Karimi has given her clarification after receiving severe backlash for her earlier post about “India bombing Pakistani Kashmir”.
Iranian actress and model Mandana Karimi has found herself at the centre of a social media storm after she shared an Instagram Story referencing India's counterstrike in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). On Thursday, the actress addressed the backlash through a detailed note on Instagram, clarifying her stance and defending her right to speak. Mandana Karimi explained that her original post was a plea for peace, not a political statement.
She was quickly flooded with messages, many from anonymous accounts, telling her to “go back to her country.”
Reacting to the uproar, Mandana Karimi wrote, “What a storm one story can cause. A simple message about peace—not religion, not politics—sparked an avalanche of hate. From faceless accounts and fake names, telling me to “go back to my country,” questioning my right to speak.”
While Mandana acknowledged the support she’s received from her “incredible” friends in India, she called out what she described as the “small-minded, toxic corner” of society that continues to see her as an outsider. Mandana Karimi also emphasised that she has every right to speak – or choose not to speak – on any issue. Despite the hate, the actress reiterated her admiration for India.
In her concluding words, the actress had a message for people criticizing her, “If you think I’m “nobody,” then why are you even here? Hate takes effort. And energy. You’re not a hater. You’re just a confused fan. So yeah—keep your shade. I’ll keep my peace. Much love. Mandana Karimi.”
However, Mandana Karimi has now deleted her clarification post.

The controversy began when Mandana Karimi re-shared a story that accused India of “bombing Pakistani Kashmir” and “murdering civilians and children.”
The post came after India’s ‘Operation Sindoor’, a high-level retaliatory strike that destroyed nine terror camps in Pakistan and PoK. The mission was in response to a ghastly terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir that left 26 civilians dead. The coordinated operation was carried out by the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force.
