Janhvi Kapoor is leaving no stone unturned to promote ‘Mr & Mrs Mahi’ as she wore a dupatta with lyrics of the film’s song ‘Dekhha Tune’ on it.
Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor, who is gearing up for the release of her upcoming film ‘Mr & Mrs Mahi’, is leaving no stone unturned to promote the new Hindi movie. The upcoming movie reunites her with actor Rajkummar Rao after their 2021 film ‘Roohi’. For the promotions, Janhvi Kapoor is using her outfits to incorporate elements from the new Hindi movie, which will showcase the Bollywood diva’s cricketing skills. Janhvi Kapoor has embraced the method dressing trend for the romantic sports film’s promotional schedule, taking heavy inspiration from what Zendaya did for the promotions of ‘Challengers’.
Janhvi Kapoor recently stepped out in Mumbai to cast her vote in the ongoing Lok Sabha Elections 2024. And for the same, she wore a magenta Anarkali suit. The highlight of her suit was a beautiful customised dupatta, which had the lyrics of the ‘Mr & Mrs Mahi’ song ‘Dekhha Tune’ written on the border of it.
Several videos of her magenta pink attire are going viral on social media. And we love how clearly Janhvi Kapoor is promoting her the new Hindi movie.

It is quite admirable that Janhvi Kapoor managed to promote ‘Mr & Mrs Mahi’ even when she stepped out to vote.
For the unversed, the title and tagline of ‘Dekhha Tune’ have been recreated from a verse, which featured in the song ‘Say Shava Shava’ from the hit 2001 film ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’, starring Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Hrithik Roshan, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Rani Mukerji.
‘Dekhha Tune’ has been sung by Mohammad Faiz with Jaani serving as the composer and lyricist of heartfelt number.
The original makers of the song ‘Say Shava Shava’, composer Aadesh Shrivastava, singer Udit Narayan and lyricist Sameer Anjaan have also been credited.
In the upcoming movie, directed by Sharan Sharma, Janhvi Kapoor will play a doctor who is encouraged by her husband, played by Rajkummar Rao, to pursue cricket instead. The film is slated to release in theatres on May 31, 2024.
