‘Dekhha Tune’ from Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao’s film ‘Mr & Mrs Mahi’ will remind you of good old ‘K3G’ days.
Bollywood actors Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor, who first starred together in the 2021 Hindi movie ‘Roohi’, are reuniting for the upcoming film ‘Mr & Mrs Mahi’. Their pairing had received a lot of love and that has only increased the anticipation among fans to see their upcoming movie ‘Mr & Mrs Mahi’. The makers and lead stars of the film are leaving no stone unturned to build more hype around ‘Mr & Mrs Mahi’. After releasing new posters and the first trailer of the film, producer Karan Johar has now unveiled the movie’s first track titled ‘Dekhha Tune’.
Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, who are actively promoting the film, feature in this heart-warming song that will definitely remind you of the good old ‘K3G’ days.
For the unversed, the song’s title and tagline have been recreated from a verse, which featured in the song ‘Say Shava Shava’ from the hit 2001 Hindi movie ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’. The 2001 movie starred Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Hrithik Roshan, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Rani Mukherjee.

‘Dekhha Tune’ has been sung by Mohammad Faiz with Jaani serving as the composer and lyricist of heartfelt number. The original makers of the song ‘Say Shava Shava’, composer Aadesh Shrivastava, singer Udit Narayan and lyricist Sameer Anjaan have also been credited.
New lyrics have been penned for the new song, with the hook lines used from the old favourite ‘Say Shava Shava’.
The heart-warming song is a romantic ballad, which explores Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao’s relationship. ‘Dekhha Tune’ also features glimpses of what was shown in the latest Hindi movie trailer -- how the characters get married and go on to form an understanding and loving relationship.
The video of the song opens with a marriage scene of Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor. Both are shown to be uncomfortable initially but as the video progresses, both start falling for each other.
In the upcoming movie, directed by Sharan Sharma, Janhvi Kapoor will play a doctor who is encouraged by her husband, played by Rajkummar Rao, to pursue cricket instead. The film is slated to release in theatres on May 31, 2024.
Meanwhile, Janhvi Kapoor will also be seen in Koratala Siva’s ‘Devara: Part 1’, marking her Telugu debut. The upcoming movie also stars Jr NTR and Saif Ali Khan.
Janhvi will also star in ‘Uljah’ and ‘Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari’. Rajkummar Rao, on the other hand, will be seen in the sequel of ‘Stree’ and ‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’.
