Kriti Sanon celebrated Cocktail 2’s theatrical release with a heartwarming photo dump featuring candid memories from the film’s shoot.
Bollywood actress Kriti Sanon is in full celebration mode. With her much-awaited romantic comedy ‘Cocktail 2’ now playing in cinemas after hitting screens on June 19, the actress has dropped a heartfelt photo dump on Instagram that gave fans a warm, behind-the-scenes peek into the making of the film — and the bonds she forged along the way. “Need all the love and hugs because Fin-Ally its Cocktail2 Day!!” she wrote, kicking off the post with a play on her character’s name. “Ally, Kunal and Diya are yours.. I hope you love them, feel their hearts and cherish them as much as we have!!” Kriti plays the free-spirited Ally in the film, opposite Shahid Kapoor as Kunal and Rashmika Mandanna as Diya.
The carousel opened with a disarmingly cute moment — Kriti holding up a hand-drawn “NEED A HUG” cardboard sign in the middle of a sun-drenched Italian piazza, wrapped in a hug. It set the tone for a dump that was equal parts candid mischief and on-set nostalgia.

From there, she took followers right into the heart of the shoot. One frame captured Kriti, Shahid and Rashmika collapsed together in a fit of laughter, the kind of unguarded warmth that only comes from a tight-knit unit. Another was a pure behind-the-scenes treat, with Shahid and Kriti huddled around the camera monitor alongside director Homi Adajania, who helmed the original ‘Cocktail’ (2012) as well.
Sicily, where much of the film was shot, was the real co-star of the dump. There were sweeping shots of cobblestoned baroque streets, a playful dance dip mid-frame, and a glorious rooftop dinner with an Italian skyline stretching behind Kriti, Shahid and Rashmika as they raised their glasses. Other slides kept things breezy — a beachy day out with surfboards loaded onto a pickup truck, and a close-up of Kriti in a floral headscarf, finger pressed to her lips in a cheeky “shush.”
Kriti also sprinkled in goofy group selfies with her co-stars and crew, a fun pose with balloons in the background, and a winery moment among towering oak barrels. The dump signed off on a witty note with a maroon top that read “Here for the Cocktails” in flowing cursive — a nod to the film’s title and its spirited vibe.
In her caption, Kriti poured out gratitude to director Homi Adajania, producer Dinesh Vijan, and co-stars Shahid Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna, writing, “I’m already missing you guys.. thank you for making this journey so beautiful & giving me the best memories for life!!”
‘Cocktail 2’, produced by Maddock Films and Luv Films with music by Pritam, is a spiritual sequel to the 2012 hit and has opened to a polarising critical response — though, going by Kriti’s post, the experience of making it was nothing short of joyful. While the critical response has not been positive, the film has been performing well at the box office. During its first weekend, it made Rs 47.50 crore in India and Rs 76.25 in worldwide gross.
